Don’t miss tomorrow’s  “lecture” with UK born and Yale educated graphic designer David Rudnick. As artistic director for the Making Time club night in Philadelphia and brand identity designer for New York streetwear brand Wil Fry, Rudnick’s graphic design crosses multiple genres and mediums. From his work for electronic music clients (creating posters and sleeve designs), to 3D music videos for artists RL Grimes and Django Django, Rudnick’s designs are as experimental in their processes as they are in aesthetics. Beyond the surface of blocked type and garish colored night club posters, Rudnick also applies philosophical research to his work and sees graphic design “an opportunity to lace conscientious meaning into the sometimes crass playing field of commercial images”.
