In Jesse Lee Stout’s Experience Design practicum class students were tasked with 3 different projects that encouraged students to consider architecture and immersive storytelling when designing for spaces. Projects included creating a site-specific experience based on illusions, an immersive music video, and an installation based on the concept of multiplicity.
We were encouraged to work collaboratively and resourcefully in realizing our concepts and by the end of the two-week practicum, were amazed at what we were able to accomplish under tight deadlines and with limited resources. I think after the fact, we all had a deeper understanding of what it means to consider spatial context when we design and realized that when we work together, we can accomplish much more than going it alone.
