Following her lecture, CalArts alum Kim Dulaney held a workshop in client-driven image making. Jaime Van Wart, one of the event’s organizers explains that, “at random, each student chose a fictional store and creative brief. Using handmade image-making methods, we sketched out rough looks and concepts and were allowed to manipulate our imagery with digital tools after a preliminary group critique. Kim met with each student individually for a final critique later in the day, and we gave the group the following week to refine their compositions.”
